You're in Hot Water - Tankless Water Heaters

You're in hot water now. All the time. As much as you want, when you want it.
You are if you install a tankless water heater in your home. These energy efficient wonders have been used for years in Europe where energy costs are several times more than in North America. Tankless water heaters are compact and don't require their own mechanical room.
With a conventional tank water heater, you heat water all the time. Energy is used nearly all day to maintain a preset temperature. When water cools, the system kicks on to reheat the water. This cycle repeats over and over.
The last person in line for a shower in the morning can usually tell you that tank water heaters can't keep up. After approximately 1/3 of the water is drawn off, the water must be heated again. This is inefficient and illogical to say the least.
When you have a tankless water heater installed (it should be installed by a contractor unless you have the required skills), you can expect between 30 to 50 percent off your water heating costs compared to traditional water heaters. No more wasting water while it heats in the morning. Set the temperature you want and have it delivered immediately.
As energy costs and water conservation become even bigger issues, homeowners will turn to tankless systems. It's the one responsible way to heat water and just makes sense.
