| New Cold Cathode Dimmable and LED Bulbs |
For
all of the people who have searched for an energy-saving replacement bulb to use in
dimmable chandelier fixtures, WattBusters finally has the ticket. We just acquired the TCP cold cathode line of light bulbs. The bulbs are excellent for dimming and rapid
on/off cycling applications and they use either 3 or 5 Watts. Light output is roughly equivalent to 15 - 30 Watt incandescent bulbs.
The FlameTip series is a sharp looking bulb that comes in medium or candelabra base and has clear, frosted or white coatings. The bulbs dim very smoothly and are a great energy-saver for any multi-light chandelier. The rated life is 25,000 hours so you pretty much install them and forget them.
We also have other versions of the
cold cathode light bulbs to meet your
lighting needs. A-Shaped, Decorative Torpedoes, R20, and small globes. Some versions are available in colors plus we have the LV version which is a soft, warm white color that emulates the muted 2400K look of a Las Vegas casino.
The long-life, dimmable cold cathode fits a lot of lighting situations but
WattBusters also has an extremely efficient solution for people wanting even
more energy savings. Green, solar powered and generator equipped sites
sometimes need to squeeze every watt into useable energy. We can help the
lighting portion of that with the new TCP
LED product line. The 1-Watt (non-dimmable) Festive Series LED is a
small globe that incorporates 10 LED elements. It is surprisingly bright! It comes in different colors and either a medium or candelabra base. The White version puts out the most light but we were surprised by the output intensity of every color. Affordable LED technology has come a long way.
We offer a small, candelabra base, 1/2 watt LED Indicator light that is rated at 30,000 hours but the big dog is the TCP Tubular Indicator LED bulb. It is rated at 50,000 hours and contains 88 LED elements. It's expensive but is
ideal for navigation or emergency lights where rapid starts and vibration are a
factor.
While technology keeps changing, we see great strides being taken in lighting and energy conservation. If there is a product you need for a special situation,
let WattBusters know what it is. The cold cathode and LED products above are a direct result of customers articulating a special need and TCP responding
with professional design and manufacture of those cutting-edge products.
